American Apparel clothing was founded in 1989 by American Dov Charney, and is best known for producing plain, solid-colour cotton knit wear such as T-shirts and underwear, however over the past few years the brand has gone on to expand and make leggings, leotards, tank tops, dresses, pants and denim.
